JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage accounting practices and the maintenance of financial records assuring compliance with GAAP, US statutory requirements and corporate policies.
• Develop, prepare, analyze, and present for senior management review, current and forecasted results of Plant and/or Business Unit performance.
• Develop and maintain an effective system of internal control for the safeguarding of the company’s assets and their proper utilization.
• Lead implementation team for new accounting / reporting system.
• Act as immediate contact with the corporation’s independent auditors on matters related to the location’s financial records.
• Interact with corporate financial services and corporate accounting to ensure consistent policy and procedures.
• Develop, implement, and update effective financial and operational information systems to provide the organization with timely, accurate, and meaningful information which meets current and future reporting needs.
• Assure the development of sound budgets and forecasts to assist in timely managerial decisions and effective strategic planning.
• Function as an active member and financial advisor to management team. Support operations staff in developing and interpreting financial and non-financial performance measurements.
• Conduct special projects as assigned including but not limited to financial analysis of manufacturing plant rationalization and performance improvements
• Additional responsibilities as requested or required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance. MBA or CPA preferred.
• Minimum of seven + (7+) years progressive experience within Finance with emphasis in manufacturing/cost accounting including responsibility for accounts, budgeting, cost accounting and financial analysis.
• Knowledge of Statutory Financial Reporting requirements
• Results and profit-oriented with ability to balance other business considerations.
• Strong knowledge of manual and automated reporting systems; demonstrated ability to manage use of systems, including PC based packages.
• Sound administrative skills, well-developed management and people skills, and strong analytical and reasoning skills.
• Participative management style - advocates team concept.
• Proactive supervisory skills.
