Position: Financial Analyst (Full Time Contract Position)
Reporting to: Director of Finance
Summary
The Financial Analyst will provide analytical and planning support to Finance and Accounting management. Responsibilities include assisting in development of the annual operating budget and periodic forecast updates, reporting and analyzing monthly budget variances, preparing weekly cash forecasts, providing decision support, and special projects.
Detailed Description
• Provide monthly reporting of actual operating expense variances to budget for each department
• Update and maintain weekly cash projection model
• Assist in setting annual plan assumptions and deliverables
• Coordinate development of department budgets with budget owners, including consolidation of inputs from budget owners
• Coordinate interim plan updates as required
• Prepare forecasted financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement and cash flow
• Support business case analysis projects
• Provide Board Meeting support as necessary
Requirements
• Bachelors in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; MBA preferred
• Superior Excel skills; Microsoft Access or other database experience strongly desired
• Understanding of general accounting principles and concepts
• Proficient problem solving and fact finding skills
• Highly effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to use statistical analysis tools and techniques
