Job Description:
A Product Manager on our team will need to be a bridge builder, and they will have the ability to synthesize product requirements and work cross functionally to deliver great data driven products quickly.
The Product Manager is responsible for managing key project initiatives that enhance the existing product set while keeping an eye on the future. This will include: defining the product components, gathering and prioritizing product requirements, and working closely with software development teams, sales, support and marketing to ensure that revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Manager also ensures that the product supports the business unit and the company’s overall strategies and goals, including cross product positioning, cross-selling opportunities and up-sell strategies.
Essential Function:
• Manage product enhancements and fixes from idea stage through planning, development and execution including marketing, training and communication;
• Create industry-leading innovative transactional / commerce related web features to increase user engagement, conversion, retention and overall user satisfaction;
• Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle: collect and analyze both internal and external user needs, translated into innovative new web based opportunities, create and evangelize business plans/ROI analysis, write product specifications, drive product development, and coordinate with both internal and external customers to evolve our web presence;
• Define, track and improve key product metrics. Direct research and data analysis efforts to identify customer needs and improve the lead quality and ultimately grow revenue;
• Assess emerging and competitive technologies and product - be an expert with respect to the competition.
Qualifications:
• This position requires a BA/BS degree in a technical field and 3-5 years of web based product management experience within highly transactional or community driven websites, MBA desirable. Strong understanding of Web2.0 technologies is a big plus.
• Ability to prioritize among many competing alternatives and plans, balance customer needs with business priorities, and articulate the rationale behind decisions
• Driven team player, collaborator and relationship builder with proven ability to work effectively in a matrix organization. Contagious can-do attitude and self-sufficient work style.
• Excellent track record of developing, launching, and marketing online products.
• Ability to solve complex issues to achieve objectives and deliver results on multiple projects in a complex, fast-moving environment.
• Effective at making decisions / conclusions through processing multiple forms of robust web analytics data.
