As a Technology Consultant (Business Intelligence/Application Development) you will help our clients respond to their business and technology challenges through our various service offerings. These services include defining IT strategy and synchronizing with business goals and objectives, assessing current environments, validating organization’s technology investments, and serving as the trusted advisor.
The Technology Consultant is responsible for a variety of roles ranging from solution identification to analysis, design and technical leadership. The primary role is to provide consulting and advisory services with an emphasis on BI and application development projects and solutions. In addition, this role will provide technical solutions, tool/software alternatives and capabilities, design specifications, and recommendations, data modeling, reporting, and solution development and deployment. The position will mentor other team members including client personnel.


Technology Consultant (BI/App Dev) is expected to:
* Identify business and technology challenges for a variety of industries and organizations of various sizes
* Develop solutions to business and technology challenges and recommend creative approaches to solving clients’ business problems
* Deliver high quality consulting and advisory services to our clients
* Build strong client relationships and effectively manage expectations
* Contribute as a project team member managing project resources and mentoring internal technical resources
* Possess subject matter expertise in business intelligence and technology solutions
* Possess expertise in application development solutions
* Contribute to the enhancement of Eide Bailly Technology Consulting’s methodologies and expertise
* Stay current with emerging technologies and changes in the business and technology environment along with industry best practices
* Support business development efforts through participation in sales calls, proposal development, and marketing strategies

Technology Consultant (BI/App Dev) must have:
* 7+ years of practical experience in development with technology consulting experience preferred
* 4 year business or technical degree; MBA is a plus
* Diverse technical background with experience in various roles, platforms, architectures, packages and technologies
* Proven track record in core skills for development, centering around customer, project and client/staff deliverables
* Demonstrated experience in performing technology assessments, analysis and documentation of current state capabilities surrounding business processes, personnel, and technology, and developing strategic recommendations
* Proven ability to listen, understand and articulate business problems
* Ability to identify business trends and associated technology implications in a variety of industries including conducting industry and client research and analysis to identify new value sources
* Demonstrated experience with business process improvement and utilization of technology to facilitate those processes improvements
* Demonstrated experience with the technology and business application selection processes, vendor negotiations, and contract analysis
* Experience with gathering and documenting technical and functional user requirements and specifications
* Demonstrated understanding of estimating procedures, capable of assembling a project plan and good work tracking habits
* Proven ability to listen, understand and articulate business problems
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including significant experience with executive level written and verbal communications, as well as a proficiency in process flowcharting, presentation development and delivery
* Proven experience with the following technology
o MS SQL Server 2005 & 2008
o MS SQL Analysis Services
o MS SQL Reporting Services
o MS SQL DTS and Integration Services
o Data Warehouse
o ASP.NET, VB.NET, C#.NET
o MS SharePoint
* Willingness to travel to client locations and other Eide Bailly Technology Consulting locations; 25-50% travel
