GPS Manufacturer/Distributor



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Lead the development of relationships with providers offering key components, content, technologies, and intellectual property which are required for certain product development activities
Negotiate business terms and expectations for the relationship with these providers and coordinate with administration, engineering, marketing, and legal stakeholders leading to the completion of formal agreements with the providers
Coordinate with other departments within Garmin to ensure the requirements of these relationships are met
Capture key messages associated with new products and ensure they are assimilated in the marketing effort including product packaging, advertising, web pages, and other collateral
Assist in the creation and maintenance of product roadmap documentation and be a repository of knowledge associated with the plan even in dynamic circumstances
Coordinate the agenda for business development meetings, compile meeting notes and actions, and follow up with assigned resources to ensure the completion of those actions


OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

Possible supervision of others who would take on more detailed assignments
Perform other miscellaneous tasks as assigned


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

Bachelors or masters degree in an engineering, business, or marketing related fields with strong academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)
Business development and/or marketing experience
Ability to enthusiastically relate to technology, demonstrated passion for our products and active lifestyle participation in our target markets (automotive, marine, recreation, or fitness)
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to related to the challenges of other departments and stakeholders
Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail
Excellent computer skills using Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, and Access


DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

5 + years applicable experience is a plus
GPA greater than or equal to 3.5
MBA or specific project management experience
