Description:
The Sales Operations Manager translates the strategic initiatives into actionable, measurable and predictable goals and activities for the Sales Team. The Sales Operations Analysis Manager enables and facilitates the achievement of these goals through Metrics and Incentives. Finally, is responsible for forecasting the results of the Sales Team’s efforts.
Skills / Essential Functions:
· Document and continually improve processes to facilitate sales performance and predictability.
· Lead the administration of technology tools needed to enable sales effectiveness and forecasting.
· Create effective and accurate numerical models of activity metrics needed to meet sales goals and then oversee the achievement of those metrics.
· Work closely with the HR team to design and manage effective incentive/compensation plans.
· Consult with executive leadership to design / re-design, build, and produce sophisticated and meaningful reports, forecasts, and analysis at regularly scheduled intervals and on an as-needed basis.
· Serve as liaison to Financial Team – understand financial reporting needs, provide analytics as needed, and assist in building / maintaining a common dataset.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelors degree – MBA or other advanced degree preferred
2. Experience in sales process design, improvement and implementation.
3. Knowledge of Salesforce.com
4. 5-7 years experience managing and performing complex data analyses in interrelated departments and processes.
5. Strong technical skills and understanding of database and business intelligence design and implementation
6. Demonstrated knowledge of forecasting concepts and techniques
7. Demonstrated experience building complex Excel based models such as sales territory optimization models, incentive plans, etc.
8. Ability to lead cross functional / cross departmental teams
9. Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
