SUMMARY:

Supports and serves as back up to Vice President in all parking operation functions. Maintains an industry-leading service organization assuring an outstanding level of customer service. Provides leadership, makes decisions and takes responsibility. Directs day-to-day operations of the visitor parking business including field staff management, customer service and customer satisfaction, issue resolution, performance metrics, safety, training, recruitment, employee development and retention, scheduling, emergency preparedness and program marketing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Oversees a team of field representatives to ensure TMC provides industry leading customer service.
Collaborates with Institutional Services Manager and Director, Parking Customer Service to maximize visitor parking revenues.
Maintains a strong presence in the field, working with each service team to assure the care of our internal and external customers.
Reports results of Visitor Parking performance on a regular basis, including programming and plans to meet operational needs.
Develops long term plans and strategies to keep pace with organizational growth and changing customer requirements including assessing and recommending staffing needs.
Works with third party vendors and organizations to ensure that the Visitor Parking organization has the latest tools and technology.
Generates new ideas, initiatives and solutions seeing them through the research, analysis and implementation stages.
Provides regular and consistent feedback from the customer perspective, resulting in new program development, cost reductions and operational improvements.
Assists management with the planning, development and direction of capital expenditures.
Generates revenue and expense budgets for Visitor Parking, including forecasting and trend analysis.
Develops and implements continued education and training for staff development and operational excellence.
Develops and maintains a collaborative team environment within the department and throughout the organization.
Recommends process improvements and operational efficiencies and is able to implement and execute resulting initiatives.
Strives to protect organizational assets.
Supports a 24/7 operation with flexible work hours including nights and weekends.
Works in all weather conditions and assists staff in physically demanding environment.
Ability to work on-site for multiple days and/or serve in a ride out team capacity in case of emergency situations (hurricanes, floods, etc.).

REQUIRED SKILLS
4 Year College Degree required or 6 years of comparable experience plus required related experience may be considered in lieu of degree

MBA preferred

5 to 7 years of progressive managerial experience in a customer service environment required

A strong team player who enjoys a blend of senior level exposure and hands-on field leadership

Excellent verbal and written communication and strong presentation skills

Must demonstrate strong business ethics and integrity

Excellent customer service, team building and conflict resolution skills

Effective coaching and performance management skills required

Proven ability to manage, motivate and lead a staff of 35+ people

Previous annual budget development and monthly P & L responsibility experience

Must be able to work on many different projects at one time

Must be able to build consensus and work effectively across departments

Must have proven effective process improvement experience

Must maintain composure in stressful situations

Must lead by example TMC safety standards

Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software required

Must be able to effectively and efficiently navigate multiple software applications or databases

Must have personal vehicle for transportation between parking facilities
