Dynamic, global growth manufacturer has an immediate need for a Cost Accountant/Financial Analyst at a Business Unit HQ. This position reports to the Plant Controller with a dotted line to the GM. The Cost Accountant/Financial Analyst is part of the Strategic Plant Leadership Team. This position is located in a Little Rock suburb area.

Responsibilities will include providing management with the strategic tools & reports to drive business results; drive excess expense and capital out of the business; manage the Closing Cycle, cost management strategies, cash flow analysis, process re-engineering, cost accounting, new product costing & pricing; financial and variance analysis; financial reporting, and inventory control. You will create invoices for Cost-Type contracts and enter invoices into the Accounting System. You will track and analyze costs against budget. Assist on program reporting (CSSR, CPR). You will prepare weekly, monthly, and annual forecasts. You will contribute to the Budget Forecasting and Reporting Process. Implementation of Cost Controls and Cost Reductions initiatives.

Requirements:
BS Degree in Accounting or Finance. An MBA, CPA, and/or CMA would be a plus. You should have 3-7 years of relevant manufacturing accounting experience. Large company experience ( Fortune 500) is a plus. You should have strong standard cost accounting experience, consolidations experience, manufacturing plant accounting, G/L, A/P, financial reporting, forecasting, budget development and implementation experience. You should have exposure to working with DCAA Auditors. Experience in GAAP, IAS/IFRS. Any Government Accounting experience would be a plus such as FAR, DFAR, Mfg Pro and DCAA. Prefer knowledge of FAR and CAS government contract accounting requirments. You should have solid influential communication skills, enjoy a high quality-of-life environment.
