The Advertising Sales Executive will be responsible for developing and executing business strategy to grow advertising revenues for Synacor, an industry leading provider of private label web portal sites for multiple broadband ISP partners. Advertising revenues include paid search, banner, video, and Shopping promotions.

Duties and Responsibilities:
•Manage advertising sales opportunities, close deals, manage contracts and sales performance.
•Set and meet online advertising revenue targets
•With Revenue Development, set business requirements for ad units, devise ad placement strategies and define inventory and availability and provide monthly revenue forecasts
•Balance objectives of private label ISP partners with business goals and objectives of Synacor
•Identify and engage with ad sales partners including 3rd party networks, ad sales agencies, ad insertion and tracking platform providers, etc. to maximize value of inventory
•Work with Ad Operations to launch advertising campaigns
•Establish business processes around advertising sales
•Create target list of strategic advertisers and strategy to attract them
•Regular tracking and reporting on results
•Work with Finance and Partner Relations team to insure proper ad revenue sharing with ISP partners.
•Serve as company’s “Industry Expert” on online advertising

What you\'ll need to bring to the table:
•BA required, MBA preferred
•5+ years of online advertising experience in sales/operations.
•Good understanding of online advertising industry and day to day industry developments
•Basic understanding of standard metrics and performance measurements
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Strong work ethic and a creative problem solver
•Ability to define work flow and hit deadlines
•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
•Ability to work effectively as part of a team
•Experience with search engine results optimization a plus
