Our client, a great ecommerce company located in San Jose, is seeking an experienced candidate who can deliver key business intelligence for their Customers and their Marketing department. They are looking for a strong analytical mind with experience in CPG and grocery markets and/or digital marketing analytics and research. The ideal candidate will have a strong quantitative background, and be able to adapt to the ever-changing market and work independently. This job is for someone who\'s intelligent, a practical generalist, and extremely skilled at creatively solving problems. If you\'ve worked with manipulating large volumes of data to solve hard problems in creative ways, you\'ll fit right in. This is a highly visible role and a great opportunity to champion all business intelligence efforts for the company’s key Customers and Marketing/distribution initiatives. The position is an individual contributor role and reports directly to the VP of Finance, based in San Jose, CA.

Responsibilities:
• Partner closely with both our Sales account management and client service team and Marketing organization
• Integrate digital research techniques with online analytics, database queries and external data to deliver insights
• Track existing and new promotions/offers and trends within our network as well as the marketplace overall and will look for creative ways to improve Customer campaigns and deliver insights into users’ behavior and interaction with the Customers promotions.
• Prepare regular updates analyzing user activity that seek to deliver data insights for our customers and partners and keep sales material data fresh
• Define reporting requirements for new features and design and deliver relevant analytics
• Deliver business intelligence on our end users to our marketing team that will drive decisions on consumer acquisition strategies and identify opportunities for improving yield, increasing revenue or improving the service to our customers.

Requirements:
• 5-7 years of experience in a Business Intelligence/Analytics Role
• Hands on experience with SQL Query creation and expert at manipulating large amounts of data in Excel
• Comfortable with database schemas, transformation layers and capable of standardizing, cleaning and aggregating data
• Knowledge of Access or other database products a plus
• Experience with Business Intelligence and Analytics tools and applying statistical concepts
• Experience in designing and executing digital research
• Passionate about mobile and the internet, emerging technologies and data savvy
• Strong understanding of user lifecycle management and CRM
• Excellent analytical skills and proven ability to recognize and isolate data trends, issues and concepts and translate these into clear outputs and specific recommendations that can be easily understood by customers
• Must be a self-starter who can work independently as well as within a team environment and can manage multiple projects
• Must be able to manage and lead efforts with contributions from multiple functional teams
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, including preparing reports and presentations, and be able to interact and understand technical subjects and their relevance to the data
• BA/BS required, MBA a plus
