Nice Ride Minnesota is a new non-profit corporation formed to operate a public bike share system in Minneapolis similar to Paris Velib\', Barcelona Bicing, and Montreal Bixi.

We plan to launch the service in May 2010 with approximately 1,000 bicycles in 80 self-service kiosks in downtown Minneapolis, on the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus, and in the surrounding commercial districts.

Our mission is to enhance the quality of our urban life by providing a convenient, easy-to-use bike sharing program that will provide residents and visitors a healthy, fun, different way to get around town.

Nice Ride Minnesota\'s operations director will be responsible for developing and implementing the operations plan for the bike share system.
Responsibilities will include:
- management of maintenance contracts,
- supervision of mechanics and interns,
- logistics, permits and right-of-way for kiosk installations,
- procurement, maintenance facilities and vehicles, and warranty claims

We are seeking applicants with experience in operations and/or logistics, mechanical aptitude, organizational skills, supervisory experience, and a passion for active living.
